There were 26 steps up to the radio station every day in downtown Frankfort until 1975 when Stout Appliance store on West Barner Street was purchased by Kaspar Broadcasting Co., Inc. and joined with the Stout Residence to create a 5200 square feet radio complex of 5 studios, reception area, sales offices, conference room, programming offices and bookkeeping area.
The 44 years on West Barner Street and changing technology took its toll on the radio facility.
Kaspar Broadcasting committed its resources to a $125,000 renaissance and began with a custom designed Welty Custom Exteriors 50 year metal roof. Once the roof was completed and tested, plans came together to renovate the entire radio station. Sandy and Mike Hawn led the interior decorating plans while flooring was installed by Shine 99 advertiser Greentown Flooring.

Hardesty Landscaping finished the curb appeal exterior after an attractive lighted exterior sign was designed, built and installed by Kokomo advertiser Clifford Signs. Terris Ayres designed and built the lobby sign to cap things off and voila…time to have an open house.
