Alice Jean “Jeannie” Robbins, 77, of rural Frankfort, passed away July 1, 2025 at Witham Hospital, Lebanon, Indiana. She was born August 6, 1947 in Frankfort, Indiana to John Wash & Dortha Eve (Solari) Clements. She married Jack J. Robbins on September 7, 1969 at the United Church of Christ, now known as Antioch Church.
Jeannie was a 1965 graduate of Clinton Central High School and attended Ball State University. She worked as a teacher’s aide and then with special needs students at Clinton Prairie for 32 years. She attended Bogantown Christian Church as a child. Attended Antioch Christian Church, New Hope Church, and later, Kirklin Christian Church. Jeannie was previously in AIM Home EC Club, served as a Central Indiana judge for 4-H and Open Class Foods and was known for her cooking – especially her ham salad, party mix, and yeast rolls. She was a pro at shopping, enjoyed crafts, gardening, and working in the yard. Jeannie and Jack enjoyed cruising and had been to the Caribbean over 20 times. They had also cruised to the Panama Canal and Alaska.
Jeannie is survived by her husband, Jack of rural Frankfort, daughter, Joanne Robbins of Kirklin, granddaughter, Alexis Bartle of Broad Ripple, brothers, John (Jacque) Clements of Frankfort and Mark (Pam) Clements of Kirklin, along with several nieces, nephews, and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, stepmother, Alta Clements, son, Jeffrey Allen Robbins, daughters, Julianne Marie Robbins and Jennifer Lynette Robbins Bartle.
Friends may visit 2 – 6 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2025 at the Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main Street in Frankfort. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 7, 2025, at the funeral home, with Shan Sheridan officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Kirklin.
