Alternating Lane Restrictions on State Road 38 Starting on or After June 1 Near Kirklin

The Indiana Department of Transportation announces alternating lane restrictions on State Road 38 starting on or after Thursday, June 1 for resurfacing work through Kirklin. These restrictions will be between County Road 750 E. and Co. Rd. 900 E. through the end of July, weather permitting.

This contract was awarded to Milestone Contractors, LP. Crews will be constructing a functional Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) overlay. An HMA overlay is a combination of asphalt cement and aggregate placed over aging pavements as a pavement preservation treatment. The liquid asphalt binds the rocks together in a strong but flexible structure.

INDOT reminds motorists to slow down, use caution and consider worker safety when traveling through a work zone.
