Healthy Communities of Clinton County Coalition has dedicated 270 pounds of pork products donated by members of AMVC in Frankfort to help families in need over winter break.
Members of AMVC donated over 270 pounds of Indiana Kitchen premium pork products to Healthy Communities for the program to help those in need. The products include pre-cooked sausage patties and pork tenderloins meant to help local families continue to provide meals for their children during winter break when many children rely on the lunches provided by the schools.
According to AMVC, over 60 families will receive portions of the donation and 165 will benefit from the donation through the program, and AMVC expressed that its members are more than pleased to provide the pork for family meals throughout the winter season.
“Special thanks to our partners Indiana Packers and Indiana Pork Farmers for their assistance with the donation,” AMVC wrote. “From our families to yours, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.”
Earlier this month, Healthy Communities also partnered with NHK Seating of America and Walmart to collect toys for families in need of additional assistance with purchasing their children gifts for the Christmas season.
