Angelia Desiree “Angie” Howe, 51, of Frankfort, is now peacefully at rest after bravely battling cancer over the last 4 years, most recently Leukemia, on Friday, July 24, 2026, at IU University Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on June 10, 1975, in Frankfort to Stanley Younger and Jean (Ottinger) Heavilon. She married Dorval Mark Howe and together they spend the last 21 years together. He survives.
Angie attended Frankfort Senior High School. She worked as a CNA for Wright Way Nursing, Indiana Veteran’s Home, and Wesley Manor. She also worked at Blue Ridge and Green Meadow Elementary School with their day care program. Lastly, she worked for WILO Radio. She was a member or the Eagles Lodge Women’s Auxiliary. She enjoyed going fishing, where she excelled at catching crappie, camping at Raccoon Lake, and hunting with her husband. She also enjoyed sewing, being at the pool and being out in nature, cutting firewood on their property and enjoying time by the creek on her swing just soaking in the beauty around her. And few things made her happier than going for drives in their ’73 Camaro and smoking the tires. Angie was a lover of animals, feeding the local squirrels, and spoiling her pups, the late Jazzy and Jayden, and her pup Jett. She was a strong-willed woman, that liked things her way, but she loved deep, especially her family.
Along with her husband, Angie is survived by her son, James Wessell and bonus daughters, Ramee Collins and Matalyn Howe; sister, Shasta Younger; father-in-law, Bob Howe; grandchildren, Hudson and Magdalene; brother-in-law, Dusty; sister-in-law, Pam; step-brothers, Matt and Micheal; and several nieces and nephews.
Angie was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, Mark Heavilon, and mother-in-law, Barbara Howe.
A celebration of life will be held, Wednesday, July 29, 2026, from 3-6pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Memorial contributions may be made in Angie’s honor to the Humane Society of Clinton County. Messages of condolence may be left at www.dayandgenda.com.
