Anna Frances “Fannie” Belt, 94, of Frankfort, Ind. passed away September 23, 2021 at Wesley Manor Retirement Community, Frankfort. She was born on May 22, 1927 in Caldwell County, Kentucky to Joseph and Stella (Oliver) Stromatt. She married Barney Belt on April 20, 1946 in Hopkinsville, KY and he preceded her in death on February 15, 1991.
Anna attended school in Kentucky and earned her GED later in life. She was a homemaker and had worked for Simmons Mattress Company for 15 years, retiring in 1974. She was a member of the Lake Village Baptist Church and the First Baptist Church in Frankfort. Anna belonged to the Auxiliary Grange in Lake Village, IN.
Surviving are her Children: Barney Wayne (Jo Alice) Belt of Morocco, Peggy (Ray) Bachman of Frankfort, Sandy Canaday (Rick Dawson) of Morocco, Tim (Lisa) Hamilton of Momence, IL, and Tom (Carrie) Hamilton of Kokomo; Son Randy’s Companion: Debbie Lopez of Brook; 11 Grandchildren: Sharalee (Mark) Ploof of Brighton, MI, Pam Pufahl of Morocco, Tonya (Kevin) Reilly of Morocco, Tina Lambert of Bourbonnais, IL, Casie (Brian) Ticen of Frankfort, Ryan (Alisha) Bachman of Frankfort, Deric (Mindy) Beier of Rensselaer, Danielle (Alan) Street of Galveston, Craig (Sheree) Belt of Mitchell, Brandon (Chrissy) Belt of Mt. Ayr, and Michelle Belt of Lake Village; Great-Grandchildren: Brie and Broc Beier, Breanna Parsons, Dysen and Dreyden Pufahl, Mariah Beatty, Michael, Sierra, and Austin Belt, Charlena Bates, Tiffanie, Kody, Kyle, Tristan, Alaina, and Hailey Hamilton, RJ and Mathew Nugent, Krystal Sanford, LeeAnn Ticen, Landon and Cora Bachman; along with 8 Great-Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter: Doris Hamilton, son: Randy Belt, son-in-law: Ron Canaday, great-granddaughter: Nicole “Nikki” Hamilton, 2 sisters and 4 brothers.
Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. (EDT) Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center, 501 East Clinton Street, Frankfort. Friends may also visit 11 a.m. (CDT) until the time of service at 1 p.m. (CDT) Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at the First United Methodist Church, 203 S. Clay Street, Morocco, IN. Burial will be in Lake Village Cemetery, Lake Village, Indiana. Memorial donations may be made in Fannie’s honor to the Wesley Manor Employee Appreciation Fund, 1555 N.
