Anthony Snowden, better known as Andy, was born on April 6, 1949, to Floyd and Mildred Snowden in Estill, Kentucky. Andy passed away unexpectedly in his home in Norvell, Michigan, on December 2, 2022.
Andy was loved and respected by his family, friends, and community for lending a helping hand. He was a dedicated, hard worker and would work his fingers to the bone to support his family. Andy had one hell of a sense of humor and always loved to joke. He couldn’t wait until that next fishing trip. Andy will be deeply missed.
Andy retired from the family business, Indiana Mechanical, in 2006. He attended Jackson Nazarene Church in Jackson, Michigan.
Surviving Andy are his children, Matt (Melissa) Snowden of Jackson, Michigan, John (Kristina) Snowden of Indianapolis, Denise (Tim Howell) Snowden of Kemah, Texas, Dawn (Bradley) Walker of Brookinas, South Dakota, Amanda Snowden of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Tammy (Tony) Ponto; brother, Ronnie (Teresa) Snowden of Frankfort; sister, Geraldine Walizer, of Frankfort; grandchildren, Joana Snowden, Jodi Drougal, Jakob Snowden, Haley Keefe, Travis Snowden, Anthony Ponto, Chris Ponto, Brooklynn Abbott, Maranda Crose, Larry Crose, Shelia Crose, Anthony Eldridge, Amanda Kressley, Mark Wessell, Jr, Shawn Douglas Wessell, Brandy Rochelle Price, Aubrey (Lee) Price, and Christopher Nathan Howell; and 31 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Phylliss Snowden.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 10, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to the beginning of the service at 12:00 p.m. at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, with Rev. Ken Rushing officiating.
