Applications are still being accepted for the Frankfort Police Department’s fourth Citizens Police Academy that begins Thursday, September 13, with classes every Thursday from 6-9 p.m. through November 8.
Classes will cover a variety of important police related topics including but not limited to investigations, traffic stops, use of force, court procedures, Constitutional and State law, active shooter situations, patrol and K9. Several police officers, law enforcement officials from other agencies and officials in the court system will present valuable information that will better inform the public what their local law enforcement and criminal justice professionals officers do on a daily basis and why.
Applications are available at the Police Department at 200 West Washington Street. The deadline to submit them is Friday, August 24 by 3:00 p.m.
