Area Board of Zoning Appeals to Meet Jan. 27

The Clinton County Area Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) will meet on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the County Meeting Room of the Clinton County Annex Building, located at 2 E. Washington Street, Suite 105, in Frankfort.

The meeting will open with roll call and approval of minutes, followed by old business and public hearings on several zoning-related petitions across Clinton County.

Old business includes:

Application #CC-2025-00988 (Docket #36-25-SE), filed by BML Properties, LLC, requesting a special exception to allow two additional non-farm single-family dwellings in an A-1 Agricultural Zoning District. The petition site is located on the south side of West County Road 1000 North, between North County Road 900 West and North Waldon Road, in Ross Township, commonly known as the 8500 block of W. County Road 1000 North in Rossville.

Public hearings scheduled for the meeting include:

Application #CC-2025-01195 (Docket #40-25-VA), submitted by Elevation Construction & Management on behalf of RPM Investing, LLC, requesting three variances related to bufferyard requirements for a proposed liquor store in the B-2 Central Business Zoning District. The property is located at 116 S. Main Street in Kirklin.

Application #CC-2026-00007 (Docket #01-26-SE), filed by Anna Payne, requesting a special exception to operate a Class II in-home daycare in an A-1 Agricultural Zoning District. The petition site is located at 6827 S. County Road 1000 East in Kirklin, within Sugar Creek Township.

Application #CC-2026-00010 (Docket #02-26-VA), filed by Anitra Ford, requesting two variances to allow reduced setbacks for a replacement detached accessory structure in the R-3 Medium Density Residential Zoning District. The property is located at 304 S. Elm Street in Mulberry.

The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Area Board of Zoning Appeals is set for February 24, 2026.

With at least 48 hours’ notice, Clinton County will provide appropriate aids and services to ensure effective communication for qualified individuals with disabilities.
