The Clinton County Area Plan Commission last night approved a major hurdle for the Hardy Hills Solar farm near Kilmore. Invenergy out of Chicago is the company proposing the
solar farm. Invenergy is requesting 1,777 acres of land to be rezoned to the Solar Overlay Zoning District with underlying zoning classifications remaining. The affected land in located mostly in Union Township with a small part of Owen Township included. A public hearing last night was held where area residents were able to voice concerns and have board members respond to questions.
