Art Exhibits Coming to Frankfort Library

The Frankfort Library presents, “Between Paper and Palette… The Artist’s Vision,” a group art show exhibited the Anna & Harlan Hubbard Gallery through October 15.  This exhibit features paintings by the following talented Indiana Artists:  Cheryl Bole, Robert Bratton, Sara Buchwald, Billie Carr, Margaret Duke, Denise Engle, Pat Hooper, Ronda Fischer, Mary Jane Keys, Diane Kiemeyer, George Lanning, Cheryl Lowe, Bob Meyers, Marcia Reller, Ann Rose, J. Anna Roberts, Martha Wagoner, and Dana Wright-Wiggins.

This exhibit showcases high-caliber watercolor paintings by esteemed Indiana artists. Many are members of the Indiana Watercolor Society and the Indiana Artists Club. Artwork is for sale and a portion of sales go to the Friends of the Frankfort Library, who sponsor arts programming at the library. This exhibition is free and open to the public. Masks are required in the library for patrons ages three-and-above.

“Between Paper and Palette… The Artist’s Vision” is the last exhibit in the Hubbard Gallery before the Gem City Art Show, which is our Annual Fine Art Exhibition and Sale hosted by the Friends of the Library November 12-14. This will be the 40th year of our Annual Fine Art Exhibition and Sale! We are celebrating our “Ruby Jubilee” with fabulous artwork and artist demos all weekend long, as well as music and treats Friday night.

If you would like to attend the opening reception Friday night, all you have to do is become an Art Show Patron by pledging to spend $60 or more over the course of the weekend. If you are interested in learning more, please contact Mindy Emswiller at the Frankfort Library, [email protected] or (765) 654-8746. The Gem City Art Show will have artwork for sale in a variety of mediums:  painting, photography, printmaking, woodworking, glass, ceramics, jewelry, fiber, and more. This is a great opportunity to find one-of-a-kind gifts for the holidays and support regional artists as well as the Friends of the Library. The Friends sponsor art and education programming for our community. This show will be open to the public on Saturday, November 13, 9-5 p.m. and Sunday, November 14, 1-5 p.m. Be sure to visit our website, myfcpl.org, and social media platforms for more information.
