The public is invited to join us as we celebrate the 42nd year of the Friends of the Frankfort Public Library’s Annual Art Exhibition and Sale on November 10, 11, and 12, 2023. The Friends are thrilled to have over 90 artists participating, which provides a larger variety of artwork to purchase for your home, business, or as gifts for the holiday season. Premium artists have accepted the invitation to showcase their work, including: pottery, textiles, glass, wood, watercolors, oil paintings, photography, jewelry, and more.
The annual art show is the Friends’ major fundraising event for the year and serves as a cultural experience for our community, while supporting Indiana’s talented artists. The Friends promote library services and fundraise to provide materials, equipment, and programming that is not provided by tax funds. The Friends strive to encourage an appreciation for the arts in cooperation with the Frankfort Garden Club, Quilters Guild and Yarn Work, Printmaking, and Photography groups, by offering Free Beginner Art Classes and Open Art Studio Nights at the Library.
Art Show Patrons are invited to a preview party and sale on Friday evening, November 10, 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. before the show opens to the public at 7 p.m. If you are interested in becoming an Art Show Patron, all you have to do is pledge to spend $60 or more over the course of the weekend, November 10 -12. Art Show Patrons names will be listed in publicity materials if received by November 1, but patrons can also pledge on the day of the show.
