At approximately 4:05 p.m. Thursday, officers from the Indiana State Police and the Tipton County Sheriff’s Department responded to a single vehicle crash on State Road 213 near Tipton County Road 300 South, in which an Atlanta, IN man died.
The preliminary crash investigation by Trooper Dustin Rutledge revealed that John Henderson, 49, Atlanta, IN was driving a 1994 Mack semi-tractor, pulling a loaded grain trailer, northbound on State Road 213 north of County Road 300 South. The Mack blew a front passenger side tire causing the vehicle to travel off the eastside of the road. The semi-tractor then hit two trees partially ejecting Henderson.
Henderson was pronounced deceased at the crash scene.
The crash is still under investigation.
