Community members are invited to start the new year informed and prepared as the Frankfort Community Public Library hosts a consumer protection and scam prevention presentation later this month.
Representatives from the Office of the Attorney General of Indiana will be at the library on Monday, January 12, beginning at 6 p.m., to discuss ways individuals can protect themselves from scams and fraud. The free session will take place in Room 219, and no registration is required.
Topics will include consumer protection rights, data privacy, common scams targeting the public, and how to file a consumer complaint with the Attorney General’s Office. Attendees will also receive informational bags to take home for future reference.
Library officials encourage anyone interested in learning how to safeguard their personal information and finances to attend this informative and timely presentation.
