Frankfort Police Chief Troy Bacon was appointed by Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb on Wednesday to the Board of Trustees of the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute (ICJI).
Bacon was appointed to the board which consists of John Boyd (LaPorte County Sheriff), Doug Carter (Superintendent, Indiana State Police), Rob Carter (Commissioner, Indiana Department of Correction), Bernice Corley (Executive Director, Indiana Public Defender Council), Justin Forkner (Executive Director, Indiana Office of Court Services), Curtis Hill (Indiana Attorney General), Rebecca Humphrey (Tippecanoe County Youth Services), Sam Hyer (Office of Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb), James Kennedy (Former Monroe County Sheriff and U.S. Marshal), Jim Merritt (Indiana State Senator), Kevin Mahan (Indiana State Representative), Andrea McCord (Judge, Lawrence County Circuit Court), Todd Meyer (Associate Director, Indiana Department of Child Services), David Powell (Executive Director, Indiana Prosecuting Attorneys Council), Mark Stuuan (Partner, Barnes & Thornburg LLP) and AmyMarie Travis (Judge, Jackson County Superior Court 1).
Bacon’s term will expire Oct. 15, 2020.
