Barbara Joanne Waldron, 84, a former Frankfort resident, died at 9:25 a.m. November 8, 2018 at Harbour Manor, Noblesville, Ind. She was born August 28, 1934 in Sharp County, Arkansas to John Thomas & Anna Marie (Friesz) Murphy. She married James Frederick Waldron on February 27, 1954 and he preceded her in death on September 6, 2002.
Barbara attended Jefferson 
Township Schools in Kempton, Ind and her family moved to Frankfort when she was in the 7th grade. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Ladies of Charity and the Altar & Rosary Society both at the church. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels. Barbara worked for several years as a library aid at Clinton Prairie High School and as a secretary at the Reagan Elevator.
Family: Daughter: Stephanie Waldron of Noblesville, Ind., 2 Sons: Michael Waldron of Carmel, Ind., John and his wife Cathy Waldron of Westfield Ind., 2 Grandchildren, Christie and her husband Tony Shook & Jamie Waldron, Sister-in-Law: Mary Ann (Timothy) Downey of Sarasota, Fla.
She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Funeral Services
Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. Sunday, November 11, 2018 with a Rosary beginning at 3:45 p.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort, Ind. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, November 12, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 600 S. Mary’s Ave., Frankfort, Ind., with Father Christopher Miller officiating. Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Clinton County Humane Society.
