Barbara Lorraine Parsons, 73, of Radcliff, KY, formerly of Frankfort, passed away September 28, 2018, at home under hospice care surrounded by two of her daughters. She was born September 16, 1945 in Frankfort to George and Capitola (Alexander) Parsons. She was a 1963 graduate of Arlington Community High School. She had lived in Frankfort, then Florida for several years before setting down in Kentucky. Her most recent employment was a server in the kitchen department at Fort Knox Army Base. Barbara enjoyed listening to music and dancing at the local VFW where her friends played in the band. She was an avid reader, enjoyed shopping for antiques, watching Wheel of Fortune, Criminal Minds, and Law & Order, and taking care of her beloved cats.
Barbara is survived by her son, Lester Howe of Jacksonville, FL; daughters, Vivian (Jimmy) Moore of Custer, KY, Veronica Rich of Radcliff, KY, and Wendy (Robert) Wensits of Fleming Island, FL; brothers, Donnie (Carolyn) Parsons, George (Robin) Parsons, Jr., and Rick (Deb Huff) Parsons; sisters, Norma Smith and Joyce Murley; grandchildren, Scott (Cherrie) Surles, Veda (J.W.) Rich, Justin (Brittany) Rich, Victoria (Corey) Rich, Haley Howe, Brooke Wensits, Ashlynn Wensits; great grandchildren, Josalynn Jones, Jordan Watts, and Carter Rich.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Matthew Moore; brothers, Phil “Red” Parsons, Sr., Larry Parsons, Neil Parsons; and sisters, Rita Parsons, Georgia Cunningham, Janet Brown.
Visitation will be 2pm until the time of the service at 4pm, Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort.
