Benefit Ride for Young Hinson Earhart-Shoffner Set for October 25

The community is invited to a special benefit ride to support Hinson Wayne Earhart-Shoffner, a 2-year-old boy battling a rare brain tumor, on Saturday, October 25, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Anna’s Acres, 5282 W. County Road 250 S, Russiaville.

The event will feature horse and pony rides, with each lap around the arena costing $5. All proceeds will go directly to Hinson’s parents, Drake and Kaalyn Earhart-Shoffner, to help them focus on caring for their son. Free-will donations are also welcome.

Hinson was diagnosed at 18 months old with ETMR (Embryonic Tumor with Multilayered Rosettes) on his brain stem. Since then, he has undergone multiple surgeries, radiation, chemotherapy, and other treatments. Recently, his tumor has grown, and he now has two additional tumors on his spine. Hinson is currently at Riley Hospital on a ventilator and relies on the support and prayers of the community.

Organizers Kirk and Kacey Kennedy encourage families to come enjoy rides on miniature horses and full-sized horses, have fun, and help raise funds for Hinson’s care.
