Bernice A. Krolczyk, 96, of Colfax, Ind., died January 23, 2022 at her home. She was born August 23, 1925 in Cook County, Ill. to John & Anna (Kubas) Rybarczyk. Her first marriage was to Harold Nail. She then married Bolesuas “Bill” Krolczyk in 1961 in Chicago, Ill. and he preceded her in death.
Bernice moved to Clinton County
in 1961 from Chicago. She was a longtime manager of Miller’s Restaurant in Colfax, had worked at Frito Lay, Pepes and ran “Shirley’s” Duck in Diner on 52. Bernice enjoyed fishing, crocheting, gardening, birds, cooking and baking, but most of all she loved taking care of her children, grandchildren and all those who called her Gram.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Judith Rice of Colfax, Willi (Rodney) Kanienski of Colfax, 2 sons: Michael Nail of Colfax, Robert (Pam) Nail of Colfax, 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Russell, 2 grandchildren, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Funeral Services:
