Bert Weaver has announced that due to the vacancy created by Mark Timmons, Commissioner of District 1, he has placed his name to be considered for that position. Bert is excited about the opportunity to serve the county again, as he held the position for the term of 2012 to 2016. He feels his previous service as a commissioner is a great advantage, as he knows a lot of the requirements and needs of the county. “It was a privilege to serve. I am proud of how the county was able to move ahead with such projects as securing Con Agra’s move to Clinton County, building a new road to further economic development in that area, Indiana University purchasing and later building new hospital, while committing to our community, the expansion of EMS service, improved communications with the City of Frankfort, and economic development being made a county priority. These are just a few of the accomplishments we achieved during that period.”
Bert has served on many boards in Clinton County that have also played a part in his understanding of the wishes and needs of the county. Now being retired, he has over 40 years of experience in the mortgage and banking industry, including serving as a Senior VP, supervising over 575 employees in 20 states and later owning his own business. Mid State Mortgage, Insurance, and Reality. He feels that these experiences have given him management skills that can be beneficial as a county leader.
Bert looks forward to and would be honored to again have the opportunity to representing District 1 as a commissioner of Clinton County.
