The 11th annual Best Chili in Thorntown Cook-Off fundraiser has been announced for tomorrow, Saturday, March 1 at the Sugar Creek Art Center at 127 S. Pearl St. in Thorntown where community members can battle against each other to be crowned as having the “Best Chili in Thorntown.”
The event will be held tomorrow, Saturday, March 1 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. where community members can visit to taste and vote. The cook-off will be $10 for adults and $5 for children, which includes chili tasting, AYCE ham and beans, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, tea and water. Klooz Brewz will also have a few beers available for adults.
Organizer Angie Moody announced that the competition still has a few more slots for competitors. Prospective competitors may contact Moody at 765-336-2488 for registration information.
Visitors may also tap their toes to the Back Porch Pickers during the event.
Funds raised will help “Fill in the Gaps” around the art center.
