Betty Alice Zwyers, 92, of Frankfort, passed away Friday, December 28, 2018 at Milner Community Health Care in Rossville. She was 
born on April 14, 1926 in Chicago to Vivian A. & Olive L. (Floyd) Stoner. She married William E. Zwyers on January 8, 1950 in Cook County, IL and he preceded her in death on January 24, 2015.
Betty was a 1945 graduate of Orland Park High School in Orland, Illinois. She worked at International Harvester during WWII supporting the war efforts. She worked for Zenith where she met William. She was also a USDA Inspector for 20 years. She was previously a member of Irving Park Baptist Church in Chicago. She and William were both active in the Logansport Navy Armed Guard Veteran Group. Betty was a devoted wife and mother who loved caring for her family. She enjoyed attending classical music concerts and traveling.
Surviving are her Daughter: Sue Zwyers of Lafayette, IN; Son: William E. Zwyers of Thorntown, IN; Granddaughters: Amy (Danny) Ritter of Apple Valley, CA and Angela (Michael) Kingery of Flora, IN; and 4 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2018 at Bunnell Cemetery in Frankfort. Pastor Pam Ditson-McCall will officiate.
