Betty J. Timmons, 84, of Frankfort, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2019, at her home. She was born October 8, 1934, in Howard County, to Horace and Fairy Belle (Harmon) Butler. On May 1, 1954, Betty married Billy J. Timmons; he passed away on April 21, 1998.
Betty had attended Frankfort High Schools. She was a member of the UAW Local 292 and had worked for 30 years at Delco-Remy before retiring. Betty had attended Trinity United Methodist Church and enjoyed crocheting, reading, and watching television.
Surviving Betty are her children, Steve Timmons, of Frankfort, Michael (Heather) Timmons, of Carmel, David (Heather) Timmons, of Frankfort, Richard (Nancy) Timmons, of Kirklin, and Betty “Sis” (Brandt) Fuller, of Frankfort; sisters, Phyllis Smith and Judith Brown, both of Kokomo; special friends, Josie Duckworth, Diane Crider, and Brenda Meredith; 21 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and two great, great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Betty is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Wayne, Paul, and Bill Butler; and sisters, Letha Young and Winifred Jewel.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2019, at the funeral home with Pastor Paul Whitaker officiating. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery.
