Betty Jane (Herr) Coffman Bolen, 91, of Frankfort, passed away December 21, 2025 at I.U. Health Arnett Hospital, Lafayette, IN.  She was born December 6, 1934 in Clinton County to Paul B. & Glen (Snodgrass) Herr.  She married Lloyd M. Coffman and they later divorced.  She then married Robert “Bobby” G. Bolen on October 31, 1975 and he preceded her in death on August 15, 1992

Betty was a 1952 graduate of Frankfort High School.  She attended Purdue University and University Indianapolis and was a LUTC graduate of IUPUI Indianapolis.  Betty taught preschool at First United Methodist Church in Noblesville.  She was a bookkeeper for Marsh Supermarket in Noblesville and Indianapolis and was a Senior Account Agent for Allstate Insurance in Indianapolis and Brownsburg for 24 years.  She was a member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Frankfort, a charter member of the Brownsburg Rotary Club and became a member of the Frankfort Rotary for a total of 25 years who motto “Service Above Self” was important to her.  Betty was also a volunteer for Oasis Senior Citizens in Indianapolis, Habitat for Humanity of Hendricks County, Ronald McDonald House, Hendricks County Hospital, the Open-Door Clinic in Frankfort and volunteered as a Pink Lady Red Coat for Clinton County Hospital for 6 years.

Betty is survived by son, Greg P. Coffman of Kirklin, sister, Marianne Thompson of Lebanon, grandchildren, Tifany, Sarah, Tony, Mistia, Meagan and Mandie, step grandchildren, Janae, Jeremy, Jamie, great-grandchildren, Nathan, Anna, Anastasia, Courtney, Aidan, Maxwell, Emma, great great-granddaughter, Layla as well as many nieces and nephews.  All of whom were dearly loved by Betty, who kept track of all of them on Facebook when she couldn’t see them.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, spouse, son, Wayne M. Coffman, daughter, Tammy JoAnn Damelio, sisters, JoAnn Deaton, Gene Hemmerling, Mary P. Hill and daughter-in-law, Diane Coffman.

Visitation will be from 10 – 11 a.m., Monday, December 29, 2025 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort.  Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park.  Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army.  Please visit goodwinfuneralhome.com to leave a condolence.
