Betty M. Avery

Betty M. Avery, 92, of Frankfort, Ind., died December 3, 2018 at Wesley Manor.  She was born July 9, 1926 in Miami County, Ind. to the late Elmer & Anna (Watts) Hann.  She married Samuel B. “Barney” Avery on October 27, 1946 and he preceded her in death in February 2011.

She was a 1944 graduate of Butler Township High School.  She grew up and attended schools in Peru, Ind., and lived in Michigantown for 3 years before moving to Frankfort.  Betty was a teller for the Clinton County Bank for 25 years, retiring in 1987.  She was a member of the First Christian Church, Sigma Alpha Chi, Business & Professional Women, President of PTO at Kyger School, was a Brownie Scout Leader, Red Cross volunteer, and a township representative for Clinton County Cancer Society.

She is survived by:  Daughter:  Linda Kay and her husband (William) Dyk Jr. of Lexington, KY, Son:  Rick and his wife (Glenda) Avery of Frankfort, 4 Grandchildren:  Gregory (Casey) Dyk, Kerry Ann (Trey) Higgins, Neil Dyk, and Stacey Avery, 7 Great Grandchildren, Reagan, Jackson, McKinley Higgins, Sasha (Tyler) Vela, Rylan Galvin, Katelyn Dyk and Kendall Dyk, 1 Great Great Grandchild, Cooper Vela.

Funeral Service: Visitation will be 2-3 p.m. Friday, December 7, 2018 at Wesley Manor Chapel,  1555 N. Main St., Frankfort. Memorial services will begin at 3 p.m. at the chapel.  Tim Grasham will officiate.   Memorial donations may be made to the  Clinton County Cancer Society.  Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S.
