Beverly “Sue” Leonard, 77, of Frankfort, died at 4:40 p.m. on August 24, 2019, IU Health Hospital in Lafayette. She was born September 23, 1941, in Burkesville, Kentucky, to Hershel and Mae Spears.
Sue attended Frankfort High School. She was a retired homemaker. Before retirement, she worked in production at various companies including Jules Simon, National Cigar, Harmeson’s, and Exide where she retired from. Sue loved to read, cook, and garden but her greatest love was for her children and grandchildren.
Surviving Sue are her son, Jerry (Gloria) Leonard, of Frankfort; her daughter, Rosie (Jacob) Hodgen, of Frankfort; her brother, Norman (Ruthie) Spears, of West Lafayette; nine grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Rose Marie and Anna Belle; and her son, James “Jimmie” Leonard.
