Bill Parsons

Bill Parsons, 86, of Frankfort, died April 12, 2022 in his home.  He was born on September 10, 1935 in Kenna, West Virginia to George and Esta (Parsons) Parsons.  He married Judith French on April 15, 1960 in Charleston, West Virginia and she survives.

Bill was a 1953 graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School in Charleston and earned his degree in Business Administration in 1957 from University of Charleston.  He served 6 years in the United States National Guard from 1955 to 1962, attaining the rank of Second Lieutenant.  He moved to Frankfort in 1976 from Gallipolis, OH.  Bill worked as Human Resource Manager at Federal Mogul in Frankfort for 24 years, retiring in 1995.  He was a member of Kilmore United Methodist Church, was past County Chairman of Red Cross, past Blood Bank Chairman, past member of the Board of Directors of United Way, past President of Kiwanis, and Clinton County Redevelopment Authority.  Bill was an avid golfer and Purdue fan.  He enjoyed pickleball, reading, and bird hunting.

Surviving along with his Wife, Judy, are his Sons: John (Patty) Parsons of Frankfort and Jim (Joni) Parsons of Port St. Lucie, Florida; Brother: Mike (Kathy) Parsons of Pinellas Park, Florida; Grandchildren: Brittany (Cameron) Clinton, Sara Clinton, Katie Parsons (Mike Kerr), Amanda Parsons, AJ Parsons (Katie McCord), Cynthia (Kevin) Leap, Kayla (Nate) Rohr, and Shania (Nick) Whittle; and Great-Grandchildren:  Wyatt, Anson, Landon, Briella, Jaden, Josiah, Addie, Abby, Lukas, Maelynn, and Zach.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Robert Parsons, and sister: Pauline Mundy.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort.  Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 21, 2022 at the funeral home with Pastor Craig Overman officiating.
