At a special meeting Monday morning, the Board of Works approved a request for proposal for the maintenance, upkeep and management of the Frankfort Commons Golf Course.
“It’s been about three years now,” said Frankfort Mayor Chris McBarnes. “We’ve been very pleased with the work that Oliphant Management has done and I’m very grateful for all the effort they’ve put in. But, these being public dollars, we do like to RFP (Request for Proposal) these processes out every couple of years just to keep things competitive and to see if there is anyone out there interested in operating our local golf course.”
Bids are due Friday, October 18, at 2 p.m., with a recommendation coming on Wednesday, October 23. A public hearing and the final vote will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6.
