Indiana Conservation Officers were notified Tuesday that a boater located a body on the Tippecanoe River near Arrow Point Ct in White County. This is south of the SR 18 Bridge and approximately six miles (river miles) downstream from where witnesses reported seeing a swimmer disappear below the surface of the water on Sunday morning. Conservation Officers responded to the area and recovered the body.
Family has been notified and confirm photographs of tattoos from the recovered body match those of 37-year-old Michael Bane of Battle Ground. He had been missing since Sunday morning.
The White County Coroner will work to confirm the identity and determine the official cause of death.
