Boone County 4-H Project Fair to Showcase More Than 60 Project Areas

Boone County 4-H will host “Glow with 4-H: Let Your Interests Shine!” on Sunday, Nov. 1, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Witham Pavilion at the Boone County 4-H Fairgrounds in Lebanon.

The free event will give youth and families an opportunity to explore more than 60 project areas, including arts, photography, robotics, animals, gardening, science, small engines, tractor operating and shooting sports.

Families can meet project leaders, volunteers and current 4-H members to learn about available projects and hands-on learning opportunities. Glow-in-the-dark games and activities also will be part of the afternoon.

Youth who enroll in 4-H during the event will receive a free 4-H T-shirt. Traditional 4-H is open to students in grades 3-12, while Mini 4-H introduces kindergarten through second-grade students to the program.

4-H offers opportunities beyond agriculture, helping young people explore their interests, develop skills, build confidence and form friendships.

Stephanie Gay, 4-H Youth Development Educator for the Central Region, who provides directed support for Boone County, will discuss the Project Fair on Party Line Friday, Oct. 30, at 8:30 am with hosts Cindy Loveless and Melissa Miller. Listeners can submit questions by emailing newsroom@kasparradio.com by 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, or call 765-659-3338 to ask questions during the program.
