Boone County Deputies Respond to Multiple Weather-Related Accidents

On December 11, 2025, beginning around 6:00 a.m., Boone County Sheriff’s Office deputies began receiving reports of slide-offs and crashes across the county due to hazardous weather conditions. Throughout the morning, deputies responded to or handled 35 weather-related accidents. Fortunately, no major injuries were reported.

Most of the incidents occurred on state and county roads. While the BCSO has jurisdiction over portions of I-65, crashes on the interstate were handled by the Lebanon Police Department, Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department, and the Indiana State Police.

At approximately 7:00 a.m., a crash occurred on State Road 32 near County Road 1075 West, involving a semi and a BCSO patrol vehicle. The deputy had been outside the vehicle assisting with another crash when the semi struck the patrol car. No injuries were reported in that incident.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office urged drivers to exercise extreme caution and allow extra travel time yesterday as road conditions remained slick. Further updates were provided as needed.
