Boone County Economic Development Corporation Welcomes New VP Of Economic Development

The Boone County Economic Development Corporation announced the hiring of a new Vice President of Economic Development for the corporation.

The corporation welcomed Jessica Schwarz to the organization as the new Vice President of Economic Development. According to the corporation, Schwarz “brings a wealth of experience a deep passion for community service to her new role.”

Schwarz, who recently relocated to Lebanon from Franklin, expressed her eagerness for becoming an integral part of the community and developing the Boone County community, which she has a wealth of experience accomplishing through the Community Foundation of Morgan County and the United States Peace Corps, where she served in Ukraine.

Schwarz is a graduate of the University of Southern Indiana, obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration before furthering her education with a Master of Science in Business Management and Leadership at Western Governor’s University. Boone County Economic Development Corporation CEO Molly Whitehead expressed her enthusiasm for Schwarz joining the Boone County team.

“We are incredibly excited to welcome Jessica to the Boone EDC team,” Whitehead said. “Her commitment to community development and her proactive approach to economic growth make her a perfect fit for our organization. We look forward to seeing the positive impact she will undoubtedly make in Boone County.”

Schwarz expressed her excitement for the new opportunity within Boone County, where she intends to continue her professional development and foster her passions for her family, gardening and her cats.

“I am honored to join Boone EDC and am excited to work alongside the dedicated team here,” Schwarz said. “I am passionate about supporting our local businesses and stakeholders to drive sustainable economic development in Boone County. Together, we can achieve great things for our community.”
