The Boone County Fraternal Order of Police has announced that Christmas with a Cop has returned for the 2024 holiday season where local law enforcement officers are paired with kids for a day filled with holiday shopping, bonding and joy.
In 2023, $56,000 was raised to provide more than 400 children 12 and under with winter coats, shoes, boots and clothing. This year, Boone County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #110 President Lt. Craig Fouts stated that the fundraising goal for this year has been set for $60,000 to continue spreading the Christmas cheer.
“This program is all about the philanthropic people and businesses of Boone County generously giving to help other families in Boone County,” Fouts said. “The program also brings with it the camaraderie of various police agencies in Boone County.”
Christmas with a Cop applications for participation are now available for pickup at the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, Lebanon Police Department, Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department, Zionsville Town Hall and the Zionsville Police Department. Completed applications must be returned to the locations by 4 p.m. today, Nov. 27 to be considered for the program.
Donations for the program may be made to Boone County FOP Christmas with a Cop at PO Box 432, Lebanon, IN 46052.
