The Boone County Law Enforcement Memorial and Appreciation Event will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Boone County Courthouse Square.
All law enforcement agencies will be on location to meet and greet with the public in which they serve and protect. Bring the kids down to get their law enforcement agencies, balloons, and take a photo with a Law Enforcement Officer. Free refreshments will be handed out during the meet and greet event.
Once the sun sets, they will make their way to the North Side of the Boone County Courthouse. This ceremony is to honor those officers who laid down their lives and paid the ultimate sacrifice in Boone County, Indiana. During this time, there will be an Multi-Agency Honor Guard presentation, guest speakers, a candlelight vigil, and a light presentation you will never forget.
