Boone County is set to transform its public spaces with dynamic, creative works as part of the 180 in Color initiative, a major public art program funded through READI 1.0. After a rigorous selection process, local and
regional artists have been chosen to bring their visions to life in multiple communities across the county.
Public art has the power to enhance quality of life, strengthen community identity, and stimulate local economies. 180 in Color underscores the importance of Boone County’s creative economy by compensating talented artists for their contributions while making art accessible to all. By integrating murals, sculptures, and interactive spaces, this initiative not only fosters artistic expression but also revitalizes key public spaces, inviting both residents and visitors to experience the cultural vibrancy of Boone County.
