Boone County Sheriff’s Office Locates Bodies Of Two Deceased Dogs In Shooting Investigation

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office released further information regarding reports of two deceased dogs on private property who were allegedly shot by the property owner, stating that the bodies of the Labradors have been recovered.

On March 27, the Boone County Sheriff’s Office reportedly executed a second search warrant on the private property near the Boone and Clinton counties line as well as a section of Sugar Creek. The department stated that during the search, the team discovered the remains of two deceased chocolate Labrador Retrievers with the aid of various resources, including the Department of Natural Resources and the Sheriff’s Office drone.

The owners have reportedly been notified, and the remains have been taken to the Purdue University Veterinary Hospital for further investigation, and they will be returned to the owners upon completion of the examination.
