Boone County Sheriff’s Office Wins Stocking Contest

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office, Lebanon Police Department, Whitestown Metropolitan Police Departmant and the Zionsville Police Department wrapped up their stocking decorating contest with the Boone County Sheriff’s Office being declared as the winner.

The four law enforcement agencies in Boone County took to social media to host a stocking decorating contest between the different agencies with the community being encouraged to vote for their favorite stocking. While the contest was a friendly competition between the departments, the Boone County community took to Facebook in strides to cast their votes for the best stocking amongst the four.

The final tally showed that the Boone County Sheriff’s Office received 287 votes, the Zionsville Police Department received 185 votes, the Lebanon Police Department received 151 votes and the Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department received 78 votes.

“Although it wasn’t a close race, it was a fun activity that the Boone County Sheriff’s Office was able to win, securing bragging rights for the best stocking,” Lebanon Police Department posted. “Thanks again to everyone who made this possible.”

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office elected for a Woody-inspired stocking that was a hit with the community. The Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department elected for a Grinch-themed stocking, the Zionsville Police Department sprang for a festive gingerbread-themed stocking and the Lebanon Police Department decided to stick to a more traditional stocking with bows and Mickey Mouse shaped ornaments.
