Boone REMC has announced that it will offer a variety of engaging youth programs, providing opportunities for students to demonstrate their creativity, learn, and enjoy unforgettable experiences.
Applications are now open for several programs.
Cooperative Calendar of Student Art Contest
K-12 students across Indiana can showcase their artistic talent. Each grade is assigned a specific month to illustrate, with kindergartners designing the calendar cover and high school seniors illustrating December. Winners receive cash prizes, and their artwork will be featured in the 2026 calendar distributed statewide.

Camp Kilowatt
Adventure and education combine at Camp Kilowatt, held June 4-7 at Camp Tecumseh in Brookston, Indiana. Sixth graders in Boone REMC households can enjoy activities like horseback riding, ziplining, and canoeing and learn more about energy and electrical safety.

Youth Tour to Washington, D.C.
High school juniors can explore the nation’s capital, meet Indiana’s congressional leaders, and make friends from across the country on this unforgettable trip, June 15-22.

Educational Scholarships
Ten $1,000 scholarships will be awarded at Boone REMC’s annual business meeting. Eligible students must be dependents of Boone REMC members and enrolled full-time in a post-secondary institution for the 2025-2026 academic year.
