Boys And Girls Club Receives $50,000 Grant, Kicks Off Winter Sports

The Clinton County Boys & Girls Club received a $50,000 grant from the Community Foundation serving Howard, Clinton and Carroll Counties to help progress the organization’s bathroom renovations plans.

Community Foundation presents the Boys & Girls Club with $50,000 grant.

Alongside the grant from the Community Foundation, the Boys & Girls Club will receive another grant to match the funds, bringing the total to $150,000. The funds will be utilized to transform the two large bathrooms at the facility to six single-use bathrooms to better serve the members of the club.

“We will be using this money to renovate our members’ bathrooms,” organizers wrote. “We are so excited to get started on this after the first of the year.”

Alongside the new grant funds, the Boys & Girls Club is continuing its outreach with its acceptance of registrations for Christmas assistance. Organizers emphasized that the assistance is not a “giveaway” or a “raffle” and is geared toward helping families in need during the upcoming Christmas season. Applications for Christmas assistance must be received by Nov. 21 to be considered, and applications can be received at 1100 W. Green St. in Frankfort.
