Bradley E. “Brad” Jacks, 68, of Frankfort, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Clinton House Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. He was born in Frankfort on January 9, 1958, to Francis and Violet (Cast) Jacks. He married Judith Myers on August 25, 1979, and she survives.
Brad was a graduate of Frankfort Senior High School, class of 1976, and then graduated from Vincennes University in 1978. He worked several jobs over his time, including Frankfort CableTV and as a meter reader for the Water Works Company from where he retired in 2023 after over 30 years. He is a member of the Frankfort Eagles Lodge and Indiana Walleye Association. Brad enjoyed being outdoors, camping, hunting and fishing with his friends, playing softball and golf, and cheering on the Colts and Cubs. He will be remembered for his quick wit and humor. He loved teasing people and bringing a smile to other’s faces. While he was a man’s man, his heart was his family. He enjoyed being a part of their lives, supporting, caring, and cheering them on. From coaching and umpiring Babe Ruth Basesball, following his daughter and her bands around, traveling adventures with his son, golfcart riding with his dog, and being the best papaw and devoted husband, Brad loved hard and deep.
Along with his wife of 46 years, Brad is survived by his children, Greg (Erin Timmers) Jacks and Amanda Jacks; a sister, Janet (Richard) Knox; in-laws, Betty Jacks, Gary (Linda) Myers, Laura Myers, Sara Moran, and Linda Brewer; and precious granddaughter, Aurora; many nieces and nephews; and his faithful four-legged buddy, Denver.
He was preceded in passing by his parents; siblings, Gerald “Jerry” Jacks and Carolyn Shaw; father and mother-in-law, Verrill and Pearl Myers; and brothers-in-law, Robert Myers and George Moran; and sister-in-law, Mary Myers.
Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 2pm until the time of the celebration of life at 4pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, with a gathering at the Eagles Lodge to follow. Messages of condolence may be left at www.dayandgenda.com.
