Brenda Li Mitchell (née Pierce), age 68, passed away on October 1, 2026. She was the loving daughter of Don and Norma Pierce. Brenda is survived by her devoted husband, Kent Mitchell; her brother and sister-in-law, Ty and Jayne Pierce; her nieces and nephews, Hannah and Caleb Robertson and Lauren and Ryan Schulten, along with their families and many dear friends.
Brenda was a graduate of the Frankfort High School Class of 1976, and went on to become a proud member of the Alpha Omicron Pi (AOII) sorority and a graduate of DePauw University in Indiana. She met her husband in Indianapolis, and the two eventually relocated to her adopted second hometown of Half Moon Bay, California. She dedicated over 40 years to a career in the jewelry industry. She was deeply involved in her California community, remaining active with Frankfort charities, especially the Clinton County Humane Society. Brenda also had a great passion for photography, finding immense joy in capturing the beauty of flowers and sunsets.
At Brenda’s request, no services are planned. Brenda truly hated cut flowers, firmly believing that cutting them was just killing a beautiful thing.
