Bruce Edward Taylor, 86, of rural Frankfort, died May 17, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born December 30, 1937 at Mattix Corner (Clinton County) Ind. to Raymond & Ruby (Ferguson) Taylor. He married Barbara J. Robison on November 22, 1957 in Geetingsville and she survives.
Bruce was a 1955 graduate of Frankfort High School and a lifelong resident of rural Frankfort. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1961-1963. He worked for Chrysler Corporation/Kokomo Transmission for 32 years, retiring on December 31, 1988. Bruce was a member of the Geetingsville Presbyterian Church since July 15, 1979. He enjoyed traveling and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife: Barbara J. Taylor of rural Frankfort, son: Brian (Tina) Taylor of Frankfort, daughters: Brenda (Kenny) Welch of rural Frankfort, Beverly (Rick) Ploughe of rural Frankfort, sisters: Lora Thomas of rural Frankfort, Margie Lawson of rural Frankfort, 6 grandchildren: Branden Taylor, Kayla Welch, Lindsay Gephart, Austin Welch, Brett Taylor and Baylee Welch, 4 great-grandchildren: Elliott, Brinley, Bostyn and Rose.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Larry Lawson, David Robison and Danny Thomas.
Funeral Service:
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 22nd at the funeral home with Carrie & Mike Munson officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow the service in Geetingsville Cemetery.
