The Clinton Central Boys Basketball team collectively decided to not participate in the Holiday Tournament today, Dec. 28 due to the unexpected passing of their fellow classmate.
The games scheduled for 3:15 p.m. and 8 p.m. will not be played as initially planned as the team processes the situation. The team will meet tomorrow morning, Dec. 29 to decide whether they will play in the games scheduled for tomorrow.
“We understand that these events are highly anticipated, and the team’s decision was not made lightly,” Jeremy Fewell, Clinton Central Superintendent, wrote. “We appreciate your understanding and support during this time.”
The community has been asked to keep the Clinton Central community in their thoughts and prayers today and throughout the tough days ahead.
