Burlington Post Office Alleyway Receives Updates; Drive-Up Mailbox Access May Be Limited

The Town of Burlington has announced that beginning Monday morning, the asphalt on the alleyway north of post office will be removed, causing restrictions in access for community members.

The Town stated that beginning Monday, Sept. 30, the town crews will be removing the asphalt on the alleyway directly north of the post office to replace the alleyway with stone.

Once the stone has begun to be compacted, the Town stated that smaller stone will be added. During the construction period, drive-up access to the outdoor mailbox may be limited.

The Town stated that crews will determine whether the alleyway will return to asphalt at a later date.
