Frankfort Parks Superintendent Joel Tatum broke the news that the solution to the filtration problem at the Prairie Creek Park Splash Pad will involve busting out concrete to access the problem holding up the 2024 opening of the Splash Pad.
Kaspar Media asked Tatum what the “Best Case” and “Worst Case” scenario might be to open the popular Clinton County attraction. Tatum’s good faith estimate in “best case” MAY be about a week to make the Splash Pad operable. Tatum’s good faith worst case estimate was more like “two to three weeks”. During the repair process, if any hard-to-order components are needed, that may further delay the repair process.
Tatum is eager to do whatever he can to open up the pad. Kaspar Media and the Frankfort Parks Department will continue to keep the public posted on progress.
