Busy Weekend Coming Up at Clinton County Fairgrounds

Three major public events are on the Clinton County Fairgrounds schedule this Saturday and Sunday.

The weekend kicks off with the third annual 4-H Marketplace.  Doors to both Clinton Hall and the 4-H Building open at 9 a.m. and will remain open until 2 p.m.  The two buildings are expected to be full of vendors selling various products  Clinton County Extension Educator Bethany Perlee says dollars received through this event will go to fund 4-H needs at the fairgrounds.

Saturday evening, at the grandstands, Dirt Drags will begin at 6 p.m.  This will be the third Dirt Drags event hosted by the Clinton County Fair Council.  Fair Council organizer Lee Anthrop expects a large number of garden tractor, truck and car drivers to participate. Fans can expect continuous racing until 11 p.m.

The third event on the Clinton County Fairgrounds docket is a two-day goat show in the Livestock Show Arena.  This is a state-wide show and will feature Indiana’s top goats during Saturday and Sunday.

Clinton County Fair Council president Jamie Blacker reminds folks to enter through the south entrance along South Jackson Street.  The north entrance remains closed due to improvements being made to the sidewalk in that area.
