Busy Weekend Results In Multiple Arrests In Frankfort

On March 14, 2022, at approximately 12:41 A.M., Frankfort Police Officer Dallas Snell attempted to stop to a vehicle traveling with no headlights.  The vehicle refused to stop and continued driving until it reached a driveway near Armstrong and Columbia streets.  There, the driver, 37-year-old Harley Dubree of Frankfort, was arrested.  The Clinton County Prosecutor’s Office has filed the following charges:

Felony Resisting Law Enforcement with a Vehicle, Driving While Suspended Prior and Operator Never Licensed.

On March 14, 2022, at approximately 3:42 A.M., Frankfort Police Officer Freddy Martinez stopped a vehicle for speeding in the 500 Block E Kyger St. The registration plates were also expired.  A subsequent investigation resulted in the driver, 20-year-old Sage Thomas of Indianapolis, IN being arrested.

The Clinton County Prosecutor’s Office has filed the following charges:

Felony Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Firearm without a Permit

In addition to the aforementioned arrests there were four arrests of Operating While Intoxicated, five arrests for Operator Never Licensed and/or Driving While Suspended Prior, two arrests for Possession of Controlled Substances, one arrest for Hit and Run, one arrest for Possession of Marijuana and two juveniles were arrested for Runaway.

“Most all of these arrests are from officers conducting traffic stops on unsafe driving which results in the more serious charges,” said Chief Scott Shoemaker. “All of this highly visible enforcement occurs between the various calls for service that are reported each day.”

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Pursuant to Indiana Public Access Laws, I.C. 5-14-3-5, certain factual information relating to the identify of a person arrested or jailed and the agency’s response to a complaint, accident or incident must be made available to the public.
