Each Year Camp Cullom holds an Academy of Science for Area 5th Graders. This may include 5th graders from area schools, home schoolers and selected students from surrounding counties.
If you know a 5th Grader who would enjoy participating in this enriching Friday Night-Saturday activity there are a few spots left for enrollment. Participation by selected 5th graders is free.
The Camp Cullom Academy of Science will be Friday evening October 5th and Saturday October 6th. The Academy is an exciting opportunity for students to learn about Science in an outdoor setting. Topics include Astronomy, Weather and Climate, Rockets and theory of flight, Prairie Grass, Small Stream and Woodland Ecosystem and Habitat, Crayfish dissection, and a Link Observatory presentation titled “This is not Science Fiction, This is Science Fact”
To enroll, take a look at the application. There is still time to apply. Consider the application deadline to be September 15th.
The Camp Cullom Academy of Science is co-ordinated under the direction of Leah Harden, District Administrator with the Clinton County Soil and Water Conservation District and the Camp Cullom Board of Directors.
