Carl Raye Jones, 65, of Newtown, passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Clinton House Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Lafayette on June 24, 1955 to Paul K. and Elizabeth (German) Jones. He married Linda (Grogan) Ikemire on April 20, 1985; she survives.
Carl graduated from Southwestern High School in 1973. He was a truck driver before becoming a chef, working in various states throughout his career. He enjoyed working on the farm with his Dad and loved his dog, Chunky.
Carl is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Jones of Romney; wife, Linda Jones of Newtown; step-children, Joe Ikemire of Glenwood, IA, Angela Woolverton of Tucson, AZ, Elizabeth Murray of Everett, WA, and Aaron Ikemire of Oblong, IL; sister, Sherri Butler of Romney; grandchildren, Jordan Jones and Kianne Mullins, and four nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Paul Jones; daughter, Julie Mullins; and sister, Karen Tetrick.
Private services will be held. Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort is entrusted with the arrangements.
