Carol Parsley

Carol Lee Parsley, 55, of Rossville, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at IU Health Arnett in Lafayette, IN. She was born on August 21, 1965 to Robert L. and Patsy Lou (Collins) Crispen in Lafayette.

Carol attended Rossville School and was a graduate of Carroll High School in 1984. She went on to graduate from Purdue University with a B.S. in Social Services. She used her degree as a social worker at Logansport State Hospital for over 20 years.

Carol was a member of the Eagles Lodge #976 Auxiliary and a quilting club. She was also a ham radio operator and a volunteer for the Red Cross.

Carol is survived by her parents; daughters, Avery (Tim) Burrell of Rossville and Holly Rupp of Bringhurst; brothers, Nathan (Deanna) Crispen of Lafayette and Jonathan (Ruth) Crispen of Frankfort; grandchildren, Kinleigh Lou, Bradley, Theodore, one in heaven, and one on the way; three nephews and two nieces; and former husbands, Craig Rupp and Matthew Parsley.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021 from 4-6 p.m. at Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel.  Guests are requested to follow current state COVID guidelines. A funeral service for Carol will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at the funeral home with a live stream available at www.gendafuneralhome.com for those who would like to join virtually. Pastor Derin Stidd of Harmony Baptist Church of Frankfort will officiate. Burial will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Flora.
